LOA Affirmations

LOA affirmations, or law of attraction affirmations are useful for focusing the mind on what you want to attract. Becoming more aware of what we affirm to ourselves (and others), is a major step towards using the law of attraction to our advantage.

It’s worth remembering too that we are affirming or denying things to ourselves on a regular basis too. “I can’t do that”, “I’m not good enough”, “I can’t afford..” and so on. Changing your thinking and language to include those things you would like to happen/manifest is a good first step.

For example, many people will doubt themselves in various areas of their lives. This doubt and fear causes them to think or say things which talk away what they really want to manifest. This is how people unconsciously manifest what they don’t want, or limit their potential to create what they do want.

Start noticing when you do this and get clearer with your language and thinking to start getting more conscious about the energy you’re already putting in to blocking or allowing your intentions. Once you can redirect that same energy you use to talk against what you want, you’ll start generating some truly magical results in your life.

LOA Affirmations – Talking Against Your Higher Good

The voice in your head has the greatest influence on your life. You may play the blame game and say it’s this person, or that person. But it is what we continuously feed our subconscious mind (through our thinking) that has the greatest impact on what we can create in our lives.

“AUTOSUGGESTION is the agency of control through which an individual may voluntarily feed his subconscious mind on thoughts of a creative nature, or, by neglect, permit thoughts of a destructive nature to find their way into this rich garden of the mind.” – Napoleon Hill Think and Grow Rich

To become more effective with using the law of attraction to create more of what you want in life, you can be more aware of your thinking, words and affirmations that you’re already making.

The Problem With LOA Affirmations

The problem with LOA affirmations is that we expect too much from them too soon. Affirmations do work, but they take time. It’s easy to forget that we have been using affirmations of some sort most of our lives by default. Our continuous self talk is full of affirmations and over a number of years these affirmations have become strongly embedded beliefs.

I first discovered affirmations in my 20’s after reading self help books such as Louise Hay’s “You Can Heal Your Life”. I practiced the affirmations for a while, but then forgot and carried on as normal. It wasn’t until later on in life that I really delved into the power of affirmations and how they can control your life: both negatively and positively.

Much of our lives are controlled by what we picked up as children before our conscious reasoning processes were “installed”. We accepted things at face value and they became our default beliefs. Later in life when these ideas stop us from achieving, or hold us back in some way, we need to investigate them or be controlled by them forever.

Negative Unconscious Affirmations

You’ve probably picked up some negative affirmations about certain things which can create problems for you. For many people it’s about money and lack or about not being enough.

Ideas which get “installed” into your subconscious mind at an early age can create difficulties.

  • I’m never enough
  • There’s never enough money
  • Life is hard
  • Money is always a problem
  • Rich people are greedy
  • Money is the route of all evil
  • Spiritual people aren’t rich
  • etc.

This list is a mile long and you can add your own unique take on why you haven’t yet achieved what you really want in life, or ever felt truly happy and content with what you already have.

Positive Affirmations

It’s a big stretch for many people to go straight from a negative belief around money, happiness, wealth or inner peace to a positive one straight away. If you’ve been reciting an old belief around money such as “you only need enough, or money doesn’t grow on trees”, or “I’m never enough”, this can undermine your ability to keep and earn money in very subtle ways over time. To jump to a loa affirmation such as “money comes easily and frequently” might be a stretch.

But given time and practice you can replace your old negative ideas around money or self esteem to new more empowering ones.

Here’s a few positive LOA affirmations which might be of help:

  • I get paid for being me
  • I love who I am
  • Money comes easily and frequently
  • I’m a magnet to money
  • I love money and welcome it into my life
  • Abundance is my birthright
  • I am enough

What Affirmations To Use

If money is your primary concern, you might find a deeper route to the problem such as self love or self esteem. Often money concerns come from a place of deeper pain and lack of self love. If you believe you’re never enough, for example, no matter how hard you try, you’ll create the same circumstances. So your best affirmations in this scenario might be around self love and appreciation.

  • I deeply love and appreciate myself

If you don’t have a problem with self love or self esteem, you might need to focus on a money mantra:

  • I’m so happy and grateful now, money comes to me, in increasing amounts through multiple sources on a continual basis.

How Many Times To Repeat Your LOA Affirmations

How many times have you told yourself that you are not enough? Or that negative money mantra you grew up with? Probably more than you can count. To make some real headway with a mantra, it needs to deeply embed itself into your unconscious mind. It needs to become as powerful as your negative mantras which have been playing in your mind for years. It needs to drown out the possibility of even mentioning your old, negative mantra!

You should get so busy with your positive mantras that there’s no space for your negative ones any more!
