In his book The Luck Factor, Richard Wiseman explains how those who consider themselves lucky are more likely to step out beyond their comfort zones, go to events and put themselves out in the world. The believe in their “luckiness” so why wouldn’t they go to that party or attend that event?

Those who consider themselves “unlucky” do the opposite because they will only come upon disaster and disappointment (in their mind)! So the lucky ones meet people, find connections and opportunities. The “unlucky” people stay in, dwell on their past, and cast their aspersions on the fact that they are “unlucky” in life, love and opportunity.

But it is the belief which drives the actions and leads to the circumstances.

If you close your mind to the possibility that the law of attraction works, it still works, just in a way you’re unconscious of. The key to using the law of attraction is becoming more conscious of the things you give your energy to.

Gratitude or Worry? – The Key To The Law Of Attraction

The more you focus on something, the more it expands in your mind and life. Worry, as an example creates more worry. On the opposite side of the coin, there’s gratitude. Think about something you’re incredibly grateful for. Stop reading and really dwell on those things in your life that you absolutely love. As you do so you’ll find more things to be grateful for. The energy of gratitude will expand in your experience.

But we can’t go through our lives just focusing on things all the time. We move through our day going through all sorts of emotions: fear, regret, anger, jealousy, hope, disappointment and gratitude. But what we want in life is ultimately a feeling. We want to create things, events, a happier existence and a wonderful life.

But how can we measure the outcome if not in terms of only material objects? Through gratitude. Our goals and dreams in life are based on the idea that they will make you feel good once you’ve achieved them! So go to the end point and feel good right now instead of trying to ‘get’ things only on the outside in the material world. In the process of the ‘getting’ we go through so much trial and tribulation that the feeling is lost in the process. We lose our happiness.

Gratitude Vs. Wanting

Life is complicated. There’s always someone with more ‘stuff’ than you. There’s always someone on social media who appears to be having a better life than you! It’s easy to start focusing on what you don’t have. It’s easy to get focused on what the “Jones’s” have that you don’t!

The relationship, the nice house, the new car the family the holidays etc. etc. But in all of the wanting we focus our minds on what we don’t have and create a feeling of lack, wanting and despair! What will we create from this energy? More of the same!

We need to start how we mean to go on. We must create the energy we want in our daily lives, not accept misery and struggle in order to ‘get’ where we eventually want to be. Meanwhile all that time is lost in struggle and turmoil! Living lives of quiet desperation each and every day, hoping for the outcome to save us!

Focus your mind on what you have and what you love, and more will come. Focusing on what’s missing will rob you of your life and create more of the same.

Wanting vs. Being

You don’t get what you want in life. You get what you are. So stop wanting and start being the person you want to be, rather than wanting things out of your reach.

The key to the law of attraction is to focus on being the best version of yourself. Focusing on things you don’t have and trying to magically manifest them into your reality is a fools game. Be the person who attracts the life you want and the things you want. Don’t focus on wanting, because you’ll create more of wanting!

Glass Ceilings

If you’re trying to create something and still struggling, you might be holding a false expectation of what the law of attraction can do for you. Don’t expect things to magically appear while you sit on the couch! If your desires are greater than your expectations this is another signal that you’re missing a valuable truth.

Don’t expect something you don’t desire and don’t desire something you don’t expect to receive. Both are strong attracting forces. Ideally they should be aligned to generate the strongest attracting force.

Through quantum physics, law of attraction can be explained. There’s an experiment known as the double slit experiment which explains the law of attraction through quantum physics.

In the double slit experiment, atoms are fired through two slits and the results are measured. You would think that two lines would appear behind the slits – where the atoms hit the wall behind the slits.

Imagine shining a light through a fence to get an idea of what this should be like. The light should appear as the fence when it hits the surface behind the fence. So, in the case of the double slits you should see two lines where the atoms get through the blockage.

The problem arises when this doesn’t happen. In fact what happens is the particles act like a wave rather than a linear particle. What forms behind the slits are a number of lines rather than two.

Scientists considered why this was and decided to fire only one atom at a time into the surface. They thought that the particles were bouncing off each other and interfering in the experiment. When they did this the results were the same. Multiple lines were seen behind the double slits, even when electrons were fired one at a time!

So the atoms were behaving like waves rather than particles.

Scientists placed a measuring device behind one of the slits to see how the particles behaved.

Strangely, this changed the behaviour of the atoms which began creating only two lines on the screen behind the slits, rather than multiple lines as before. The act of observing the particles, changed their behaviour.

When the measuring device was switched off, but left in place, the atoms went back to behaving as a wave again.

How Does This Relate To The Law Of Attraction?

So, how does this relate to the law of attraction?

We are in control of only our thoughts – if we choose to take control of them, which most people do not. Outside of our thoughts (from which all our actions stem), we are not in control. We are not in control of the world at large, other people or what happens outside of our thinking. With our thoughts our reality is created. Whatever your perception of reality is, is entirely your own perception.

Through the dominating thoughts which we allow to remain in our conscious mind we attract more thoughts and beliefs of like nature. Ultimately we are creating our existence based on what we believe about reality. We also create our reality because of how we perceive ourselves.

In the experiment you could say there is an endless field of possibilities. By observing you change the outcome. So through the consciousness of the observer, the outcome can be altered.

A conclusion of the experiment was that a quantum of energy only exists as a wave of probable locations and motions in space. This means that the nature of reality is not “this” or “that”, it has the potential to be either or both!

With us humans, we like to be right about things. We like to be ‘safe’ too. By being right and being ‘safe’ in our reality of what is and what can be, we are limiting our potential to be and do anything we could imagine. Quantum physics back this up!

The Law Of Attraction Book PDF – Make Unconscious Behaviour Conscious

Most people don’t realise the power they have to control and influence their lives. They speak about limitations and so therefore create them. They talk of problems and the problems grow. If, instead, we become more conscious about what we give our attention to, we can influence the growth of things we actually want: financial abundance, joyous relationships and good health.

When we moan and compete for how difficult our lives are, sometimes for attention from others, we create more reasons to moan. The cycle continues. This pattern can be easily developed as a child when we crave attention from our parents. Unfortunately, the strategies we learn as children don’t often serve us as adults.

We need new strategies. To develop new strategies for making money, creating better relationships and having more of what we really want, we need to become more conscious of what we give our attention to in our thoughts, words and deeds.

One way to become more conscious of our words is to listen to ourselves when we talk. Do you talk yourself up or down? Are you giving attention to the things you want or the things you don’t want? If you’re complaining a lot, and talking about problems, that’s where your attention is going. You’re creating more problems if this is the case.

Stop talking about what is wrong in your life and start focusing on the good stuff. The main problem is that when we talk we seldom listen. Talking becomes habitual and nothing changes. We become addicted to listening to our own voices and complaining about our lives. Then, we are surprised when more bad stuff keeps coming our way!

Listen to your thoughts when you are alone. They are a good indicator as to how you think, feel and react to the various situations which you are drawing into your life – through the nature of your vibration and your thoughts!

Meditation – Notice Your “Chatter”

Meditation is a great strategy to start noticing the incessant chatter of the ego – that part of you which is often confused as actually being “you”, but actually isn’t! When we identify with this inner voice, it’s hard to think from a neutral stand point without constantly defending your position in life all the time.

When we observe instead of engaging with this inner voice, we create space which grows the more we do it. Eventually you can become more conscious of your reactions and actions based on the thinking that this voice is actually “you”.

When you’re constantly engaged with this inner voice, life can be pretty exhausting. Every decision is a major big deal. It’s overwhelming. Meditation gives you the power to disengage from the ego mind which is constantly talking and you can notice how it controls your decisions.
