The secret of deliberate creation is also known as the law of attraction. You may have heard of the book The Secret by Rhonda Byrne? The Secret brought the law of attraction into the mainstream. Before Rhonda Byrne released her book and the film “The Secret”, far fewer people were aware of the secret of deliberate creation.
The secret of deliberate creation starts with your thinking. Most people think by default but aren’t aware that their thoughts create their reality. Of course thoughts don’t instantly create things. It takes time to create things out of your thinking. For example, to make a cup of coffee, you first must have the thought of it. Everything that has been constructed in reality started off as a thought.
Larger things take longer to manifest through thinking. If you want to build a career, a house or an empire, these things will take years. Making a cup of coffee only takes a few minutes and can be easily done!
The Secret Of Deliberate Creation Starts With Your Thinking
Your life, as it is now, is the result of your thinking. You might say of course that you didn’t choose many aspects of your life. Where you were born and who brought you up, for example. But beyond the obvious limitations, you are responsible for things in your life in general.
“Thoughts become things”
You can sum up the law of attraction and the law of deliberate creation in just one sentence: Thoughts become things.
While a thought by itself isn’t very powerful, thinking about something over and over again can create ideas. Over years your thinking develops into attitudes, ideas and beliefs. Beliefs are much more powerful than thoughts because most people act out their lives based on their beliefs and not necessarily based on their superficial thinking.
The Secret Of Deliberate Creation: What Do You Think About That?
So what do you think about that? Do you accept full responsibility for your life given that your thinking creates your life?
Your attitudes, beliefs and ideas are the result of years of your thinking. Of course your thinking is also influenced by other factors too such as people you grew up with, geographical location, who you surround yourself with and the thoughts and beliefs of your parents.
But putting that aside, you still choose your beliefs and attitudes. Think of a single attitude you have which isn’t reflected by your current life circumstances right now. It’s quite difficult. That’s because your life is a reflection of those inner beliefs and attitudes in your thinking.
Deliberately Create Your Future
Most people create by default. Their lives reflect the decisions and choices they made because they expected a certain life, or they chose a certain attitude. Once you decide who you are, it can be difficult to escape your own “persona”. Your self image reflects back to you what you believe you’re worthy of.
To change your life for the better, you can become more aware of the thoughts and feelings you give energy and attention to.
There’s a couple of ways to become more aware of your thinking:
- Learn to meditate – this helps you notice your thinking and create space in between thoughts
- Start a gratitude diary – Gratitude helps you shift your energy and thinking towards more positive aspects of live (and away from the negative).
- Stalking – Using a timer and note pad you can take note of your regular thinking and patterns of behaviour
Once you can see your thinking from a more detached view point, you can see yourself more objectively. As you watch your thinking, ask yourself “do you want this?”
Visualisation “Talking” To Your Subconscious Mind
Much of your creation so far may have been by default. To get deliberate about your thinking takes some discipline. The subconscious mind is listening attentively to your continued thinking processes. If your thinking is wild, untamed and undirected, your subconscious mind will deliver outcomes which reflect this.
When you take charge of the thoughts which you permit to remain in the conscious mind, you begin the process of deliberate creation.
Visualisation is also a great tool to use for deliberate creation. By getting clear on what you want to create, and imparting this idea to the subconscious on a regular basis, you are able to bring about results far faster.
“If you learn to relax deeply and do creative visualisation, you may be able to make far more effective changes in your life than you would by thinking, worrying, planning and trying to manipulate things and people” – Shakti Gawain Creative Visualisation.
We do this naturally anyway; or at least we used to do it as children. As adults the natural relaxed enjoyment of daydreaming, (or creatively visualising) something pleasant has often been drummed out of us.
How To Use Creative Visualisation
Often times we naturally drift into a pleasant “daydream” when driving a car, or during some other activity. When we are worried or stressed, we do the opposite; we get ourselves into a uncomfortable state and “try” to do things which will make things better. Often this strategy of worrying, planning and over working makes things more difficult and troublesome.
Using creative visualisation should be easy and enjoyable. First, relax and unwind somewhere where you won’t be disturbed. Stretch out and sit or lie down in a comfortable position. It can help to work through your body selectively tensing and relaxing each muscle group in the body. This will help you relax both physically and mentally. Once you are in a nice, relaxed state, think about something pleasant which is enjoyable and relaxing.
While you’re in this relaxed state, focus on something you would like to manifest into your reality. Think about how it makes you feel knowing that it already exists. Put yourself in the state of already having achieved what you wanted, or realised your dream/goal. Go into depth about the topic and really enjoy those feelings of satisfaction and happiness about the situation you want to create.
Do this as regularly and often as feels good but don’t put too much emphasis on it if it’s not enjoyable. Don’t feel in a hurry or rush this exercise. It should be enjoyable and “easy”.
Once you’ve done your visualisation, let go and trust. don’t hang on to an outcome or “try” to make something happen; just allow.
