Wanting and believing need to go hand in hand to properly use the law of attraction to get what you want. Two powerful attractive forces are desire and expectation. So don’t expect something you don’t want and don’t want something you don’t expect.
Think about what you want and choose something which you also believe is possible for you and worthy of you. Without belief you won’t even try. You won’t imagine your perfect life if you don’t believe in it.

Receiving is another common obstacle to manifesting with the law of attraction. We say we want things but get in the way of receiving them. Perhaps we don’t believe we’re worth it? Maybe we don’t feel worthy of what we want? Receiving is a large part of the law of attraction process. How do you hope to receive though if you don’t believe you’re worth it or halt its delivery in some way. Many people do this.
To become a good receiver you need to feel worthy enough to receive. You need to feel good enough about yourself to allow things to come to you. Often a low self esteem, poor self image or trapped emotions can underpin a life of holding yourself back from what you truly desire and deserve.

Asking means communicating with your unconscious mind and letting go of the outcome. Wanting is an emotional state of desire. You’re literally leaning out of a better state by reaching into some future time and place. This means you’re not truly present in the emotion of peace and gratitude. Some people spend their entire lives in the state of wanting. And it’s not a pleasant state to be stuck in.
A little wanting is ok. You’re communicating a need to your unconscious self. But you also need to remind yourself of how you want to feel when you “arrive” at the place of having received what you asked for. This is a state of gratitude. All of the books on the law of attraction talk about gratitude.
Asking for what you want should be done by daydreaming. Most people have forgotten how to day dream consciously, but do so unconsciously. Imagine yourself in the perfect scenario, whatever it is. What does it feel like, what sounds can you hear? What is your environment like? The more senses you bring to your fantasy the better.
The subconscious mind talks in pictures and feelings (when you dream). So create a nice day dream which encompasses your ideal scenario and think about it often.
How Not To Ask
Many people do the opposite of this. They think about things they don’t want. They imagine arguing and fighting. You can’t manifest a life you love by focusing on all the things you despise. This is a common trap because the feelings of struggle and disharmony are very emotive. They encompass many emotions and feelings and it’s easy to start associating these feelings with your own identity.

Belief – The Key To Your Current Experience
It’s hard to believe (or maybe it isn’t) that your beliefs underpin your current experience. There’s so many people in the world and everyone is experiencing it differently. How can your version be the only right one? For many, belief is about being right. What are you trying to be right about? Would you rather be right or be happy and create your perfect life?
Henry ford said “whether you believe you can or you can’t, you’re right”.
But your beliefs also mould you in other ways too. What do you believe about your ability to make money, hold down satisfying relationships, find love and enjoy your work/life balance? Listen to your answers because they hold the key to your current reality.
Changing Your Beliefs
You can change your beliefs around certain topics if you want to create better outcomes. In what areas of life are you feeling the most pain and dissatisfaction? Love, money, relationships, fun, pleasure? To change your beliefs around a certain topic takes a little introspection. Listen to your stories around the topic of your choice. What do you tell yourself or others about this part of your life?
Tell Yourself A Different Story
Telling yourself a different story and changing the record can help shift the grooves in your mind. Your thoughts have power when they are repeated over and over and your life takes the shape of what you continually tell yourself. Start by noticing what you think and say around certain topics. Are you running an old program which isn’t helping you create a better life?
Receiving – You’re Worth It
Do you believe you’re worth the result you desire? Really? If there’s any doubt then that’s holding you back too. Remember that what we are holding in our minds will create our future. If you’re focusing on doubt and fear that’s what you’ll create more of. Focus on love and happiness and likewise you’ll create more of it.
Most people aren’t happy in their lives because they are focused on the bad things rather than the good.
