Stuart Lichtman

I first came across Stuart Lichtman after searching for help with my affiliate marketing business. His book How To Get Lots Of Money For Anything Fast sounded rather cheesy to me at first! But I bit the bullet and bought it as part of the course.

It turned out Stuart Lichtman worked at MIT in psychology, and artificial intelligence. He conducted extensive research on the unconscious mind in relation to achievement and success. The material in the book was pretty extensive and there was plenty of work to be done. But what excited me most was the cybernetic transposition technique which Stuart Lichtman had developed.

Stuart Lichtman – Cybernetic Transposition

Cybernetic transposition sounded rather complicated to me. But I was struggling and was ready to do anything. Since this book was required reading, I had to do it.

Cybernetic transposition was first developed by Stuart Lichtman during his time at MIT. He tested the method and had a 81% success rate on those who took his training. So, 81% of a test group managed to achieve a seemingly impossible goal on their first attempt. How was this possible?

In Stuart’s book you’ll be asked to write down a specific meta story which is aligned with your specific goal. A “meta story” is a story you come up with which is based in your history but has be rewritten with your focused outcome (goal) in mind. What this does is align all parts of your brain through using old memories which can be recalled. Smell, sound taste and even emotions from a past memory are passed on to your “unattainable” goal.

Stuart Lichtman Goals – Desirable & Attainable

This means your subconscious mind gets involved in the process and you can impact your future goal directly into your subconscious mind. There’s a number of exercises involved in this process too which allows you to get super focused on the right goal for you.

The main problem with goals is often we don’t really, really want them. So we waste time focusing on things that we don’t truly want. Then we get demoralised when we don’t achieve them. With the three step process you design your meta story to align with what you really want and what you truly believe can happen. If a goal is unbelievable to you, chances are good that you won’t fully pursue it because you don’t believe it’s possible. Similarly, if a goal is not motivating you enough, you won’t pursue it either.

So you’ll need to use the exercises in the book to help you get clear on what you both really want and believe is possible for you.

A Laser Focused Target

Most people don’t get the results they want in life. It’s often because they haven’t learned to focus their subconscious mind on the outcome they want. Some achieve automatically without really realising how they’ve done it. Stuart Lichtman has found the specific strategy which the successful actually use to create success.

Most of us have some vague idea of what success means to us. But instead of getting on with it, we conflict ourselves with all sorts of unconscious bias which we don’t fully understand. Attempting a lofty goal only by using grit and determination is usually futile unless the conscious mind and subconscious mind are working together as a team.

stuart lichtman

If we are focused on the physical actions of attaining a goal, but meanwhile our subconscious doesn’t want or believe in it, we will usually always fail.

Stuart Lichtman’s book show you how to focus your unconscious mind on the right target for you through the exercises in the book. This is the hardest part of achieving a difficult goal: deciding what it is. Once you know what your outcome is, you can focus your mind on it and work towards it more easily. But if you are conflicted internally, it’s so much more difficult to attain.

Stuart Lichtman – Super Achievement

If you’re wanting to create any result in your life, especially one you haven’t achieved before, I highly recommend Stuart’s book. Knowing how to laser target your objective so that it’s a constant, even without constant will power and physical effort is key to success.

You’ll have to do the work of course and the exercises aren’t easy! You’ll need to work. But it’s work which will pay off in dividends over the course of your life. Once you know how this works you’ll want to apply it to all areas of your life!

You can access Stuart Lichtman’s book here.

Subliminal Blockage Removal

Subliminal blockage removal can help you overcome a limiting belief or idea which is holding you from growth. An example of a subliminal blockage removal could be an irrational fear of spiders. In such a case, a hypnotist might regress the person back to an event in their life in which an irrational fear was “planted” in their mind due to a traumatic event.

In some cases, once the event is uncovered, the person no longer harbours the irrational fear. If the event remains in the unconscious mind, without conscious awareness, the fear keeps resurfacing when triggered by a circumstance or event. In the case of the spider trauma, the emotion resurfaces in the presence of a spider.

There’s a few ways to remove subconscious blockages so that you can no longer be held back by old, limiting beliefs and ideas.

Subliminal Blockage Removal

Making the unconscious conscious is one way to shine a light on some subliminal limitations. In some cases, this alone is enough to remove the blockage. Often you will need the help of a hypnotist or NLP practitioner to replay the old trauma and reframe it in another way. One way to do this is through the NLP Swoosh technique. This is useful if you already know what your limiting belief is, or what past trauma you want to work with.

The “Swoosh” Technique

To use this technique you need to recall the unpleasant event/negative idea. Play it over in your mind paying attention to all the detail, sounds and colours in your mental image. Notice the emotion which comes with the event too. Now, imagine a small image in the right hand corner while you replay the event. It’s black and while, not colour. It’s much smaller than your main image, but it’s a nicer, more comforting image of something you would like to happen or an outcome you would like to achieve.

subliminal blockage removal

Now, as you replay the traumatic, or negative event, switch from the large image to your other, smaller one. Make the small image replace the large image and swap them over. Feel the emotions of the more pleasant image and allow the negative image to drop into black and while and slowly drift into the corner of your mind’s eye.

This technique takes some practice and is worth doing with an NLP practitioner to get the most out of it.

subliminal blockage removal

The Swoosh technique is a fast way to replace a negative thought or memory and replace it with something more pleasant. With practice this can eventually change your mental rehearsal patterns and help with subliminal blockage removal to create better outcomes in your life.

Subliminal Blockage Removal – Identifying Your Blockages

One way to identify a potential blockage you may have is to look at your biggest struggles and challenges. Often your biggest roadblocks to attaining what you want are actually internal conflicts and limiting beliefs. For example, if you’re always broke and unhappy, you may have some limiting beliefs around money, wealth and abundance. If your problem is love or personal connection, you may have blockages around those areas.

Look at the following categories and notice what comes up for you:

  1. Love
  2. Money
  3. Wealth
  4. Happiness
  5. Joy
  6. Rich people
  7. Poor people
  8. Charity

Notice what comes up for you by reading through these words. What does that tell you about yourself and your belief system. Notice how you feel and react and you’ll have a start as to why you face difficulties or challenges in these areas of your life.

Your Personal History

Look at how your personal history reflects your values and creates certain problems according to what you choose to believe. Many of our beliefs are unconscious and we don’t realise they are holding us back in life. But by getting more conscious about your beliefs, they will, over time lose their power over you.

Your parents and siblings are a great influence on your life and in the first 10 years you’ll experience many events and influences which stay with you for life. If these events and circumstances are not positive life supporting ones, they may be negative ones which have scarred you. These can be the route of many of life’s problems – subliminal beliefs and values which don’t serve you anymore.

Listen to your self talk and determine how you relate to life in terms of:

  1. Money
  2. Happiness
  3. Wealth
  4. Relationships
  5. Love

Your story is the continued dialogue you tell yourself and others. Start listening to this “script” if you want to change because this holds the key to subliminal blockage removal.

subliminal blockage removal

Identify Personal Pains

Look at the most traumatic events in your personal history. What stories are you telling yourself about them? Are these stories true?

If you’ve experienced a personal trauma which is still playing out, it can be very difficult to let go and move your life forwards. Do you notice yourself replaying personal stories from your past? You could be re-playing a trauma from your past.

If you’re trying to earn more income, find a relationship or move on in life in some way, it can be difficult if you keep replaying past hurts in your mind. Your relationships keep going wrong, you never seem to get ahead. No matter how hard you try, things just don’t change for you. That’s often because you don’t change and you keep replaying the same stories in your head, over and over.

To change this you first have to notice yourself doing it. See law of attraction techniques for more on this topic.

Remove Subconscious Blockages

How can we remove subconscious blockages which are holding us back in life? After all, they’re subconscious – under the surface of the conscious awareness. It can be worth employing the services of a hypnotist or life coach to help uncover some of the reasons why you’re making life more difficult than it needs to be.

But since you’ve realised that you have some unconscious patterns which aren’t serving you, you can remove subconscious blockages by shining the light of awareness on them. To do this, you need to bring them to the surface of your awareness. This might not completely remove the blockages at first. But it will at least shift your awareness of the problem and help you move through any limiting ideas and beliefs lurking in your unconscious mind.

Remove Subconscious Blockages – Ideas

The ideas you have picked up from childhood are some of the strongest “cornerstones” of your belief system. Before you were even 10 years old, you will have received a lot of information from your environment and the people in it.

At this age, you didn’t have a conscious filter which critiqued the constant absorbing of information. As such, some of it will be embedded in your belief system. If these ideas are limiting, you might start experiencing problems in life which relate to these ideas.

remove subconscious blockages

Some of the most common limiting beliefs relate to money. We all received information pertaining to money, cash, income and self worth. If we received positive information around these topics, we’re more likely to thrive in life. With a negative self image, or negative thoughts and feelings around money, income, wealth and prosperity, we are more likely to limit those aspects in our lives.

Making The Unconscious Conscious

Until you make the unconscious conscious, it will control your life and you will call it fate – Carl Jung.

So one way to make the unconscious conscious is to look back at your most important relationships: usually this is mother and father and your siblings. Those relationships were usually made in the early stages of development when your conscious reasoning facilities were pretty much turned off. How you related to your parents is the groundwork for how you relate to the world.

remove subconscious blockages

As a child, you do anything to keep your parents happy. It’s part of the survival mechanism. We want to please our parents so we take on board their belief systems to help us survive. So think for a minute how your parents felt and dealt with money, love, passion and how they expressed emotions.

How did they earn money and what were their expectations for you?

How do you look upon the following:

Money

Success

Love

Wealth

Rich People

Take stock of your answers as they are telling you what feelings and emotions you have attributed to these concepts. If you felt any negative emotion at all, you’ve probably learned some negative connotations towards one or more of these aspects of life.

How To Remove Subconscious Blockages

One way to get clearer on your subconscious blockages is to listen to the way you speak, particularly about yourself. For a week, take particular notice of how you speak about yourself. What kinds of words do you use and how does it make you feel. Are you proud of yourself? Do you talk yourself up or down? Perhaps you avoid talking about yourself?

Listen for how other people talk about themselves too. These are keys to how people feel about themselves and what unconscious blockages they might have towards health, wealth, money, career and love.

How you see yourself is an important aspect and a major controlling “architect” of your life. Your self image is constantly reminding you of the person you think you are. Therefore, unless you start to see yourself in a different light, you’ll keep reflecting the same circumstances back to yourself repeatedly, no matter how hard you “try” on the outside or physical level of life.

Listen to yourself talk both out loud and inside your head for a week or two. Get to know how that inner voice works. Learn to meditate and become the “watcher” of your thinking, without entering into the dialogue with yourself. Just observe. If you do this for long enough and with consistently, you’ll create space to see yourself differently.

Affirmations

Once you’ve spent some time listening to your inner dialogue, you’ll probably notice some negativity there. This is your internal dialogue telling you what you can and can’t do, what you’re worth, or not worth, and basically how you see yourself and relate to the world. You’ll likely see some negative affirmations in there somewhere.

“I can’t do this..”

“If only this had worked out differently…”

“I didn’t have the best start in life…”

On and on it goes. This kind of self talk is damaging and limiting and is often based on a poor self image. To improve your self image you need to change the self sabotaging script to something else which is more encouraging and positive. Affirmations for what you want to achieve and what you can do are a good start.

We all use affirmations all the time in our heads. Unfortunately most people are using affirmations in a negative way – constantly undermining their self worth by telling a negative story about themselves.

Law Of Attraction Self Esteem

If you want to consciously use the law of attraction, self esteem has a huge part to play. If you suffer from poor self image, low self esteem or are unconfident, it can keep you on a lower playing field of life. You’ll avoid certain situations and make choices which don’t force you to level up in life.

A positive self image and self esteem on the other hand can help you overcome feelings of negativity, push through barriers and move on to bigger and better things. In the most part a positive self esteem is the ability to feel good, no matter what the situation. And feeling good is a huge part of attracting what you really want into your life.

If you consistently deny yourself the option to feel good, put yourself last, and/or feel in a low mood or vibration much of the time, your self esteem could be a factor.

Law Of Attraction Self Esteem – Changing Your Self Esteem

Your self esteem can come from many places. Your upbringing, personal history, job, career and the people around you. Take the time to notice the things in your life which contribute to you feeling good, and those things which do the opposite.

The one thing which has the most effect on your self esteem is your self talk. They way you talk to yourself (in your head) is a massive part of the law of attraction. We become/create what we think about on a continuous basis. So if your mind is filled with negative thoughts, disappointments from the past, unpleasant events and disaster, that’s what we are drawing into our lives. One way to change a negative self talk habit is to start noticing it.

law of attraction self esteem

To change anything you first need to measure it. You can start noticing your thinking in a number of ways:

  • Meditation – Spend 5-10 minutes daily at first to sit quietly and observe your thoughts without entering into them.
  • Practice gratitude – Many thoughts are unconscious and based on wanting/needing. Practice thoughts of gratefulness to bring in a new awareness
  • Visualisation – Visualising the good things you want to bring into your life is a good habit to change your thinking
  • Mindful habits – create a daily diary of your thinking processes. See law of attraction techniques.
  • Push your comfort zones – Your mind will usually rebel when you start stepping out of your safe space. Notice when this happens.

Law Of Attraction Self Esteem – Your Circle Of Influence

You are the average of your 10 closest friends. What this means is that the people you surround yourself by are the greatest measure of where your life is going. Do they lift you up or put you down? Do they force you to improve yourself and live a better life, or would they be jealous/envious and unkind if your life changed for the better?

law of attraction self esteem

Look at your closest friends/relationships and ask yourself whether your “tribe”:

  • Have your best interests at heart
  • Helps and supports you
  • Listens to you and your struggles
  • Forces you to level up and encourages you
  • Thinks like you do

If you suffer from low self esteem, it could be that the opposite is true. Perhaps the people around you secretly want you to fail. Not because they are bad, only because if you succeed your relationship with them will change.

Imagine yourself living your best possible life. Who would still be in it among your closest friends. Who would be ok with a new you and who wouldn’t?

Law Of Attraction Self Esteem – Your Daily Routine

Your daily routine says a lot about how you feel about yourself. What does your day consist of? Do you enjoy your day? What kind of interactions do you have and do you love what you do?

If you’re not currently happy with some aspect of your life, why are you putting up with it? Don’t you deserve better? If you have a low self esteem, you put up with things many wouldn’t.

law of attraction self esteem

Look at the aspects of your life which are most damaging to your self esteem and alter them, or the way you perceive them. Sometimes just changing your approach can make you feel better about something unpleasant in your life. If work isn’t making you happy, look for another role.

If something isn’t working for you, address it. Sometimes small things can become big things over time if we allow ourselves to become victims of our circumstances without asserting some control. And this can slowly eat away at our self image and self esteem.

Old Wounds From The Past

Sometimes an old wound, broken relationship or lost loved one can perpetuate a state of grief which can turn into low self esteem. Later “knocks”, losses or pains can bring it back, repeating the pattern. Grief is a low vibration and if you continually give energy to thoughts of loss and grief, you can easily get stuck in a low vibration and not realise what you’re doing.

law of attraction

You’ll attract more of the same which further reinforces the idea and vibration over time.

Losing a loved one doesn’t go away. It can change your life forever. But you can also make things worse by identifying with the pain as your “self”. Eckhart Tolle calls this the pain body. See the law of attraction and the pain body.

Having A Positive Focus

Self esteem can come from loving what you do too. If you’ve ever been unemployed for a long period, you have probably noticed the havoc it can cause to your self esteem and self image. But likewise, a negative work environment can also be damaging to the self esteem, especially if you’re not enjoying your job.

Having a positive focus can massively help you develop a positive self image and good self esteem. Setting goals and having something to look forward to in the future can massively impact your happiness levels. If you’re constantly in a lower vibration, feeling low, unsure and undirected, this can effect your self esteem.

Focus on the other hand, can help you feel positive and motivated.

Law Of Attraction – Feeling Good

We can’t feel good all the time and most people will suffer from low self esteem or low vibration at one time or another. The key to using the law of attraction is to notice how you feel and “steer” the ship through your thinking in a more positive direction.

People who seem to have everything worked out, and thrive in life, often have mastered their own mental compass and can redirect their thoughts when they start dipping into a low vibration. They don’t allow themselves to dwell on the negative since it leads only to more of the same.

To alter your self esteem levels, start noticing your thinking and don’t allow the negative to creep in. Take charge of your mental well-being and direct your thinking and energies to a more positive future.

What Are You Feeding Your Mind?

Your mind is a super computer which is always learning and developing. Your self esteem is also based on what you feed it with. Are you learning something new, immersing yourself in a positive environment and meeting new and interesting people? Or are you doing the same thing day after day without any positive input?

law of attrraction

Self esteem is the outcome from all of your actions, activities and thinking processes. If you’re not feeding your mind with positivity and growth orientated material, you’re not growing, you’re regressing. Take the time and make the effort to feed your mind with positive material. Growth oriented people, and those with high self esteem, are constantly learning and growing.

With the law of attraction, self esteem plays a huge part. Unless your developing and putting yourself in new, uncomfortable situations, you’re probably falling back into your “comfort zone” where nothing happens!

Until You Make The Unconscious Conscious

“Until you make the unconscious conscious, it will direct your life and you will call it fate”. Carl Jung hit the nail on the head with this quote. Life is not a matter of accident or fate. We can be the master of our lives if we choose to be. Most people though don’t bring their conscious awareness to their unconscious mind, and their lives grow as a reflection of this.

Napoleon Hill referred to the “rich garden of the unconscious mind“, in which “weeds will grow in abundance if seeds of a more desirable nature are not sewn therein”. Hill is referring to controlling the information which is “sewn” into the unconscious mind through conscious thought, in his book Think and Grow Rich. But what does it really mean to make the unconscious conscious?

Carl Jung

Until You Make The Unconscious Conscious

“Until you make the unconscious conscious, it will direct your life and you will call it fate”.

The conscious mind is only a small part of the whole. Much bigger is the unconscious mind which controls and regulates the body, keeps the heart beating and does all the jobs to keep you healthy and well. The unconscious mind can be likened to a vast warehouse of old memories, beliefs, attitudes and experiences which contain every aspect of your life. Childhood memories and trauma are stored there too.

Before we grow into adults, we experience a huge amount of information. Most of this information is accepted into the subconscious mind directly without conscious thought. Only when we are about 10 years old do we develop a filter for information which we can accept or reject.

until you make the unconscious conscious

This is a good thing because we learn to walk and talk within a very short time. If we were deliberating about the reasoning behind everything we absorbed, it would take much longer. But we accept everything like a “sponge” soaking up language, intonation, thoughts and beliefs.

Until You Make The Unconscious Conscious

Most people’s lives run on autopilot by the very virtue of the many beliefs and attitudes which they picked up as young children. A phobia is a good example of an unconscious behaviour inhibiting and controlling someone in their life. Many phobias stem from an unpleasant childhood experience which has been repressed.

In some cases, just by bringing your awareness to the event which caused a phobia, you can overcome it. Often a hypnotist or therapist can help you with this too, if you are unable to root out the cause of your behaviour.

Until You Make The Unconscious Conscious

But behaviour is caused by other things too. Many of your ideas about yourself and the world were inherited from your parents, and their ideas came from their parents. Your environment and experiences shape you and you build an idea of the world through your internal representation of it. This becomes your self image and is a major piece of your world view.

But what if your vision of yourself is a negative one? What if you don’t feel good enough? Perhaps you think you’ll never be happy, or achieve the life you really want. If these ideas stem from an unhealthy low self esteem or poor self image, how can you overcome it when it’s so deeply rooted in who (you think) you are?

Why Beliefs Shape Your World

Have you ever struggled in life and felt like nothing you can do will ever change things? That might be because your very identity is based on struggle. Without struggle, who are you?

When you go on holiday, who is always there with you? How can you ever take a break from yourself? It’s pretty difficult because you’re always there in your head, judging, labelling and remarking on everything around you. It can be difficult not to systematically label and judge things as you go about you day. So how can you escape this “portal” to your subconscious or turn it around to use it for better outcomes?

Until You Make The Unconscious Conscious

Self talk is the way we talk to ourselves in our heads. For our lives to change, this much change. Otherwise, we re-create the same outcomes again and again through our constant identification of the “self”. If that “self” never changes, you keep reflecting it’s ideas of “you” back into the picture. It’s a self fulfilling feedback “loop”. I am ________ so I do _______ so I am ______.

To escape the trap of the self image, you can become more aware of what information you “feed” your own subconscious mind. One way to do this is through meditation. Meditation allows you to become an observer of the mind without attaching yourself to it as the real “you”.

Unconscious Beliefs

Another way to observe the way you see yourself is to listen to yourself talking in general conversation. What do you say about yourself? Is it positive, or negative? Does your self image allow for any eventuality, or are you limiting your potential in some way?

until you make the unconscious conscious

The self image is one of the most powerful vehicles for change. Getting conscious about what you tell yourself on a constant basis is a major key to unlocking your potential. Feedback loops are those things you repeat to yourself. They are often stories you tell yourself about what kind of person you are:

  • “I’ll never be able to do that”
  • “That’s too much for me”
  • “I’m the kind of person that _____”
  • “I’m not very ______”

Many of our feedback “loops” are unconscious and stem from early experiences from childhood. If you have a current problem you want to overcome in your life, it may represent an old experience or belief which comes from a deeply rooted issue.

To dig out these unconscious behaviour patterns, it can be useful to look at our most important relationships as a child. This is often the relationship we had with our parents and siblings. How much do they control you now? In what ways are you living our your past, recreating experiences which are long gone? Until you make the unconscious conscious, it will direct your life and you’ll call it fate!

Reprogramming Your Unconscious Mind

Most people allow their conscious mind to run on autopilot unchecked, telling themselves all kinds of negative things, over and over in their heads.

Napoleon Hill states in Think and Grow Rich that everyone has complete control over

“the material which reaches the unconscious mind.”

But Hill also goes on to say that most do not enforce this control with any amount of certainty or direction. In fact, most do not exercise any control over it at all!

To train the unconscious mind for a better outcome in life takes some discipline. Once you’ve uncovered some of your unconscious thinking patterns, you can replace them with more positive and supportive ones which will produce better outcomes in your life.

Reprogramming The Unconscious Mind

To reprogram the unconscious mind, you need to replace all of the old programming and bad mental habits with new positive and encouraging ones. Consider though that you have been programming your mind for a serious amount of time already. Look at your life right now and see the results of your continual thinking patterns over the long term.

This is often the result of your repetitive patterns of self talk. To change your self talk takes some effort and repetition. Here’s a resource for using what Stuart Lichtman calls Cybernetic Transposition to transpose a memory into a new meta story. A meta story is a central story which you tell yourself repeatedly. It’s likely that you already have stories which you tell yourself and others about you. Meta stories are powerful because they are the stories you already believe and keep telling yourself. By telling yourself a new story, over and over, you can reprogram your subconscious mind to create any outcome you want. Find Stuart Lichtman’s book below.

In money and the law of attraction, you’ll find some principles and strategies to think differently and attract more health, wealth and abundance. An advocate of Napoleon Hill’s Think and Grow Rich, Jerry Hick describes his experience from first reading Hill’s book; and discovering a new way to look at money. Since then, he moved on to studying other approaches and books and looked into how to teach the principles of Hill’s book. He and his wife Esther became involved in a non-physical entity known as Abraham who Esther communicated with.

These communications became known as the teachings of Abraham. Jerry Hick’s plied Esther with questions to ask to Abraham concerning elements of practical spirituality about living in harmony with the laws of the universe.

Abraham Hicks Money And The Law Of Attraction PDF

The story that you tell yourself is the main driving factor behind the blueprint of your life as it turns out. You’re continually influencing your outcomes by the nature of your thinking mind, and the story your tell yourself about the world, yourself and your place in the world.

To understand yourself more fully and see this, is to become the conscious creator of your experience rather than the unconscious creator, which is how most people experience the world: through a contorted veil of the self image and a distorted world view.

Abraham Hicks Money And The Law Of Attraction PDF

Of course we all get a different start in life, there’s no denying that. But our histories have a way of perpetuating themselves when we repeat the same stories over and over to ourselves. The key to using the law of attraction is to offer up a different story and become more conscious about what you tell yourself over and over through the voice in your head and through your emotions.

Abraham Hicks Money And The Law Of Attraction PDF – Feeling Good

One of the quickest ways to bring about change is to focus on feeling good. In Abraham Hicks: Money And The Law Of Attraction PDF, this is a major piece of advice.

It’s so easy to become bitter and resentful of those who have what you want so desperately. However, holding feelings of negativity towards people who have achieved success will not help you.

From Abraham Hicks Money And The Law Of Attraction PDF

In fact, if we feel resentful, disappointed and imagine how others or some unknown quantity is holding us from success, something very important happens: we hand over control to something outside of ourselves.

When we do this, we give away our personal responsibility and power to make positive changes in our lives. We therefore focus on the negative emotions of jealously, bitterness, regret and hopelessness. We become a victim rather than a conscious, empowered force in our own lives.

Deliberate Creation

Most people live by default. They say things like “just my luck” and “typical” and “if only” and “I can’t afford it”. These kinds of thoughts and sayings become habitual and they help you to become a victim to your careless words and thoughts. Each time you utter a word against what you want, you are re-installing that information into your unconscious mind, which will deliver results accordingly.

Getting conscious means “weeding” the garden of your negative repetitions and getting conscious and deliberate with your thoughts words and deeds.

From Abraham Hicks Money And The Law Of Attraction PDF

Choose Better Feeling Thoughts

Feeling good is the best place to start if you want to change your life. Most people think in order to feel good they need to have everything they want first. But the opposite is true. In order to create a life of abundance, you need to feel good first.

We create through our thoughts and emotions and can easily attract negative consequences through negative thoughts and emotions. Likewise we can choose a good feeling thought which leads to more and more like-minded thinking.

Law Of Attraction Gratitude

What are the law of attraction gratitude “secrets” which are talked about in Rhonda Byrne’s The Secret? Gratitude is mentioned in nearly every book on the law of attraction. So it must be pretty important in the manifesting process, right?

Gratitude is the inner way to manifest. Most of us are “trying” on the outside of life to manifest what we want. We plan and work hard on the “outside” of life, but seldom look within for the answers. Gratitude connects us to the inner world of peace and contentment, which ultimately we seek by striving to attain things on the material plane.

law of attraction gratitude

Whatever our goals, plans and desires, we want them because we think getting them will make us feel good. The “shortcut” to success on the outside is to attain it first on the inside, hence “gratitude”. No matter what you attain on the material plane in life, without an inner joy, contentment, satisfaction and peace, we won’t be happy for long with our results on the surface.

Law Of Attraction Gratitude Secrets

So how can we be grateful for something which we haven’t got? To practice gratitude is to be grateful for what we already have. We always have something to be grateful for, whatever it might be. Once you start noticing the things you already have to be grateful for, your energy shifts. This shift, if perpetuated can create some dramatic changes in your life over time.

So what are the secrets of gratitude? To find things to be grateful for which are not determined by some outward circumstance means we can be grateful as a living experience moment by moment. Gratitude for the experiences you’ve already had, your health (assuming you have good health), your self development, your life experience so far and so on. These things are mostly unconcerned with outside material possessions or individual circumstances.

If you’re only going to be grateful once some external circumstance has “arrived”, it’s likely that you’ll find something else to be disappointed with. But if you choose things to focus on which are unrelated to a specific situation or circumstance, you can take the attitude of gratitude with you throughout your life.

Gratitude Journal Law Of Attraction

A gratitude journal can help you to focus on the energy of gratefulness. As creative beings, we can easily slip into less pleasant vibrations by thinking of things we haven’t got, things we want, and things we are unhappy about. We can waste our whole lives in the wrong attitude; busy focused on what went wrong, who treated you badly, playing the blame game for your whole life.

law of attraction gratitude

Gratitude is the opposite of this lower vibrational frequency. Blaming, ruminating on past traumas and events puts you in a very downward spiralling thinking process. The more you think of the negative aspects of life, the more unhappy you become. This kind of thinking becomes addictive. You think of things which could have been, or of what went wrong. You focus on who is doing “better” than you or on your past failures.

This damages your self belief and generally inhibits your ability to create a more pleasing environment and existence. A gratitude diary can help you escape from negative thinking patters which can hold your life back for years, causing discomfort and dis-ease in your life.

A gratitude journal can be used as a strategy to alter your habitual thinking processes, which are at the cause end of the cause-effect law in your life. You can effectively re-wire your brain by writing in a gratitude diary every day.

The Cause & Effect Law

The effects in your life are due to the cause of your beliefs, behaviours and thinking. To change the results in your life requires a change in your behaviours but in order to change behaviour, internal change must take place first. Without an internal shift in your thinking, behaviour seldom changes. That’s because we often default back to our comfortable view on the world, ourselves and who we think we are.

The self image is a large part of this jigsaw. When we think, we recreate the version of “us” that we relate to. We don’t think into our thinking – we re-create the same situation over and over again. Gratitude (and meditation) can be used as strategies to investigate our current thinking processes. By practicing gratitude, even in adversity, we can learn to “unplug” our methodical thinking processes, and evaluate how we perceive the world through the lens of awareness.

Storm Of Appreciation

The storm of appreciation is something I found in Esther and Jerry Hicks book Ask and It Is Given. It’s a great law of attraction technique which involves focusing the mind of things you appreciate (and are grateful for).

It’s a similar idea to the gratitude journal and you can start with small things in your immediate environment. You can appreciate a cup of coffee or the room you’re currently in. You might appreciate your partner or some aspect of your life. As you write ion your journal, use the “storm of appreciation” to come up with new ideas of things you’re already grateful for.

Go into depth about how much you appreciate something/one and write as much about it as you can. As you do this exercise frequently, you’ll activate the energy of gratitude. The more you practice this exercise, and journal about gratitude, the more you’ll attract into your life to be grateful for.

Grumbling & Complaining

Many people are unaware of how they are the cause of their effects in life. They are unconscious to the fact that they create their own reality. The more they complain, grumble or protest about something, the more things they attract into their life to grumble and complain about. Focus on things to complain about and you will grow your energy into a dissatisfied grumbling magnet, surrounded by problems.

This is how people use the law of attraction backwards – and create more dissatisfaction, pain and unhappiness. So the next time you are arguing against something, complaining or moaning, stop and notice. A gratitude journal will make you much more aware of your energy. If you do it for long enough, you won’t want to ever enter into the grumbling and complaining game again!

LOA Affirmations

LOA affirmations, or law of attraction affirmations are useful for focusing the mind on what you want to attract. Becoming more aware of what we affirm to ourselves (and others), is a major step towards using the law of attraction to our advantage.

It’s worth remembering too that we are affirming or denying things to ourselves on a regular basis too. “I can’t do that”, “I’m not good enough”, “I can’t afford..” and so on. Changing your thinking and language to include those things you would like to happen/manifest is a good first step.

For example, many people will doubt themselves in various areas of their lives. This doubt and fear causes them to think or say things which talk away what they really want to manifest. This is how people unconsciously manifest what they don’t want, or limit their potential to create what they do want.

Start noticing when you do this and get clearer with your language and thinking to start getting more conscious about the energy you’re already putting in to blocking or allowing your intentions. Once you can redirect that same energy you use to talk against what you want, you’ll start generating some truly magical results in your life.

LOA Affirmations – Talking Against Your Higher Good

The voice in your head has the greatest influence on your life. You may play the blame game and say it’s this person, or that person. But it is what we continuously feed our subconscious mind (through our thinking) that has the greatest impact on what we can create in our lives.

“AUTOSUGGESTION is the agency of control through which an individual may voluntarily feed his subconscious mind on thoughts of a creative nature, or, by neglect, permit thoughts of a destructive nature to find their way into this rich garden of the mind.” – Napoleon Hill Think and Grow Rich

LOA affirmations

To become more effective with using the law of attraction to create more of what you want in life, you can be more aware of your thinking, words and affirmations that you’re already making.

The Problem With LOA Affirmations

The problem with LOA affirmations is that we expect too much from them too soon. Affirmations do work, but they take time. It’s easy to forget that we have been using affirmations of some sort most of our lives by default. Our continuous self talk is full of affirmations and over a number of years these affirmations have become strongly embedded beliefs.

I first discovered affirmations in my 20’s after reading self help books such as Louise Hay’s “You Can Heal Your Life”. I practiced the affirmations for a while, but then forgot and carried on as normal. It wasn’t until later on in life that I really delved into the power of affirmations and how they can control your life: both negatively and positively.

Much of our lives are controlled by what we picked up as children before our conscious reasoning processes were “installed”. We accepted things at face value and they became our default beliefs. Later in life when these ideas stop us from achieving, or hold us back in some way, we need to investigate them or be controlled by them forever.

Negative Unconscious Affirmations

You’ve probably picked up some negative affirmations about certain things which can create problems for you. For many people it’s about money and lack or about not being enough.

Ideas which get “installed” into your subconscious mind at an early age can create difficulties.

  • I’m never enough
  • There’s never enough money
  • Life is hard
  • Money is always a problem
  • Rich people are greedy
  • Money is the route of all evil
  • Spiritual people aren’t rich
  • etc.

This list is a mile long and you can add your own unique take on why you haven’t yet achieved what you really want in life, or ever felt truly happy and content with what you already have.

Positive Affirmations

It’s a big stretch for many people to go straight from a negative belief around money, happiness, wealth or inner peace to a positive one straight away. If you’ve been reciting an old belief around money such as “you only need enough, or money doesn’t grow on trees”, or “I’m never enough”, this can undermine your ability to keep and earn money in very subtle ways over time. To jump to a loa affirmation such as “money comes easily and frequently” might be a stretch.

But given time and practice you can replace your old negative ideas around money or self esteem to new more empowering ones.

Here’s a few positive LOA affirmations which might be of help:

  • I get paid for being me
  • I love who I am
  • Money comes easily and frequently
  • I’m a magnet to money
  • I love money and welcome it into my life
  • Abundance is my birthright
  • I am enough

What Affirmations To Use

If money is your primary concern, you might find a deeper route to the problem such as self love or self esteem. Often money concerns come from a place of deeper pain and lack of self love. If you believe you’re never enough, for example, no matter how hard you try, you’ll create the same circumstances. So your best affirmations in this scenario might be around self love and appreciation.

  • I deeply love and appreciate myself

If you don’t have a problem with self love or self esteem, you might need to focus on a money mantra:

  • I’m so happy and grateful now, money comes to me, in increasing amounts through multiple sources on a continual basis.

How Many Times To Repeat Your LOA Affirmations

How many times have you told yourself that you are not enough? Or that negative money mantra you grew up with? Probably more than you can count. To make some real headway with a mantra, it needs to deeply embed itself into your unconscious mind. It needs to become as powerful as your negative mantras which have been playing in your mind for years. It needs to drown out the possibility of even mentioning your old, negative mantra!

You should get so busy with your positive mantras that there’s no space for your negative ones any more!

Law Of Attraction Visualisation PDF

In this law of attraction visualisation pdf, I’m going to share some of the main reasons and aspects to consider when using visualisations. You can also download this article in pdf format here.

Visualisations really work because they engage all parts of your brain and your emotions too. Without being emotionally engaged to your visualisations, you’ll be doing yourself a disservice; you’ll be less likely to realise what you’re actively focused on.

Visualisation is a strategy to communicate with the subconscious mind. We are born as natural visualisers. Only when we are talked out of it during our upbringing do we neglect to keep imagining those things which bring us joy and satisfaction.

“If you can learn to relax deeply and practice visualisation, you may be able to make far more progress than by thinking, planning, and trying to manipulate things and people.” Shakti Gawain – Creative Visualisation

Instead of using our natural tools for creative expression, we can often get caught up in the “doing” of things in order to “get” what we want. When we learn to visualise we can let go a little and enjoy the process of tuning in to what we want more carefully and allowing things more, rather than keeping “busy” to block out the noise.

Law Of Attraction Visualisation PDF

The subconscious mind communicates with us through dreams. Dreams tend to be in pictures and feelings. So in our visualisations we should also create pictures and feelings which are pleasant and enjoyable to create in our minds.

When we are in our “heads” or thinking minds, it’s very difficult to enter the right state in which we can “daydream”. We often will drift into a peaceful state when our minds are occupied with a task, such as driving or while focused on an activity which takes up our attention.

law of attraction visulaisation pdf

We can consciously enter into this state, the alpha state through learning breathing exercises.

The Beta state is the normal awake and alert state in which the brain wave oscillations are around 15 to 40 cycles a second. An Alpha state is the state in which visualisation can occur and brain waves oscillations are at 9 to 14 cycles per second.

To access the alpha state you can sit comfortably and relax. Close your eyes and focus on your breathing. Avoid lying down because you’re likely to fall asleep.

Law Of Attraction Visualisation PDF – Getting Into A Relaxed State

law of attraction pdf

To consciously get yourself into a relaxed state you’ll need the right environment. If you’re going to be interrupted, it won’t work very well. So find a quiet space and sit comfortably where you’re not going to be disturbed. Close your eyes and focus on your breathing. If you find yourself getting into your head and thinking, or chasing thoughts, just bring your focus back to your breathing.

Sit for a few minutes until your thoughts have quietened down. At this point you are entering into the alpha state and slowing down your brain waves.

This is a good state to start your visualisation. A visualisation can be about anything, but it should be something you really want and it should be enjoyable.

Imagination – Your Greatest Tool

law of attraction visualisation pdf

Your own personal visualisation will be specific to you. But let’s say you want to live in a nicer house and earn more money. Rather than imagining your bank statement or looking at a picture of your dream house, you’re going to use visualisation to imagine living “in” your perfect life, living your perfect day. Feel the feelings which you will associate with your life experience. What can you smell, taste and touch in your new life. How does your day pan out? Who do you interact with and in what ways does your new life make you feel good?

Spend some time getting to know the new “you”. How do you feel, knowing you have all your needs met and to enjoy every moment of your day? Really delve deep into the best parts of your day. Enjoy the place where you live, the people around you and your relationships. Imagine having everything just how you want it.

As you do this exercise notice what comes up for you. Perhaps there’s some resistance and you can’t allow yourself to create a perfect day?

This Is Why You Fail

If you’re having some resistance then you might have some beliefs which don’t support your new visualisation. This could be for a couple of reasons:

  • You’re trying to visualise something you don’t really want
  • Or you don’t believe you deserve what you’re attempting to visualise

You can overcome limiting beliefs by using the law of attraction exercises. These will help you understand what limiting beliefs are holding you back. If you’re unsure of what it is you want to manifest with a visualisation, just think of something enjoyable and don’t “try”.

Your visualisation should naturally occur in its own time. By forcing a visualisation you’re going against the flow and creating resistance. So don’t use this exercise when you’re not in the right state or if it doesn’t feel enjoyable.

Getting Focused On What You Want

If you’re struggling with a heap of debt, you hate your job and your relationships really suck, you’re going to have a hard time visualising living in your dream house and having money flow easily into your life every day! Your mind will likely rebel against the idea of a perfect relationship if your life is full of struggle and hardship.

So find a visualisation which is appropriate for you given the circumstances you are in and the state you can reach to. However, don’t limit yourself with a visualisation if you can. The idea of a visualisation is to let your guard down and reach for the sky. Don’t attempt to create a “realistic” visualisation which limits your potential. Dream a little and expand your perception of what you think is possible.

abundance and prosperity

Knowing What You Want

Getting clear on what you want is the hardest part of creating it! Because there’s many competing parts of your mind, your strongest motivators such as desire and laziness are competing with each other for what they want your life to look like. Getting clear on what you want means getting all of your parts to agree on the specific direction you want your life to take.

In Stuart Lichtman’s book below he describes what he calls the cybernetic transposition technique. This is his strategy to align the conflicting parts in your mind so they can all work together. Checkout his book by clicking the link below.

Does LOA Really Work?

So does LOA really work or is it just some new age nonsense? The law of attraction (LOA) attracted a larger audience when the film The Secret came out in 2007. Since then it’s gained in popularity. Many criticised the film for being too simplistic but the film’s basic message was that you create your own reality based on your thinking.

The double slit experiment

This isn’t a new idea and there’s many books on this topic which have been around for a long time. See law of attraction pdf for a collection of my favourites.

Does LOA Really Work – What Critics Say

Some critics say there’s no scientific evidence to back up the theory that thoughts manifest your reality. If you believe in something though there’s a confirmation bias which means you look for evidence to confirm your beliefs. Perhaps this explains the law of attraction? But what about the double slit experiment? Surely that explains and proves the LOA? As Henry Ford put it “Whether a man believes he can or he can’t, he’s right”.

There’s lots of evidence to suggest that our thoughts do actually manifest our reality. Belief seems to be a driving factor though. If you don’t believe you can have something, you won’t take the actions needed to bring it about. But one of the main criticisms of The Secret film was that it painted an overly simplistic view of how the law of attraction really works.

In order to dig deeper into the law of attraction, we need to take a closer look at it.

Does LOA Really Work – Where It Fails

The main premise of the LOA is that thoughts become things. One of the major misunderstandings of this is that we should be able to quickly manifest anything we desire almost instantly! So just by changing our thinking, we can about-turn our lives and get things how we would like them to be.

does loa really work

But that train of thought neglects to take into consideration that the LOA has been working in our lives already – perhaps for decades.

Our current circumstance is the result of many things – our location, upbringing, beliefs, attitudes and things we have done in our life. Many of our attitudes and beliefs are inherited from our culture, customs and family values. Isn’t it strange that everyone who is religious has the one and only “God”, and their God is the “right” God? But their beliefs can always be traced back to their culture and heritage. How can everyone be “right”?

Your Life Is The Result Of Your Thinking

Your current circumstances are the result of choices, beliefs and circumstances. To change your reality you have to change your thinking. If you continue to think in the same way you always have, you’ll prove yourself “right” about what you currently believe.

That is confirmation bias. One of our primary driving motivations in life to to be safe and secure. The best way to do this is to attach ourselves to an identity and a world view. When something threatens our world view, we rebel or retreat back to our old way of thinking.

If something/one challenges your beliefs do you fight back, or look closely at what you are defending? Most people will defend their beliefs to the death! So unpicking our circumstances becomes about unpicking our choices and beliefs about the world and about your self image.

How You Talk To Yourself

does loa really work

What do you say when you talk to yourself? Are you offering continuous encouragement and love? Or do you belittle and criticise yourself (in your head). Imagine if you had nothing but encouraging thoughts to say to yourself all day long. How do you think your life would change given 5 to 10 years of this self talk?

Unfortunately most of us have a fair amount of negative programming. We aren’t as encouraging as perhaps we should be. We doubt ourselves and tend to be our own worst enemies. Your inner voice is one of the biggest indicators as to where you are going in life.

“…the subconscious mind {resembles} a fertile garden spot, in which weeds will grow in abundance, if the seeds of more desirable nature are not grown therein” – Napoleon Hill Think and Grow Rich

Our dialogue with ourselves (and others) is a major key to the LOA. We should consider the material we allow to remain in the conscious mind, which we can become the masters of. It “feeds” our subconscious mind which is actively listening to our every word and thought.

The LOA Works Only As Much As You Understand It (And Embody It)

So does LOA really work? Since watching The Secret some years ago I was inspired. After practicing for some time (the visualisations and meditations I had read about), I was expecting something to happen. I was disappointed and discarded the idea.

Only when life got really bad did I pick the concept back up again. I read several books on the law of attraction and became convinced that it was true.

It was only my own laziness which stood in the way. I wanted a better life, like most people. But I wasn’t prepared to do anything to change myself and make it happen. Which is why nothing did! I do believe the law of attraction is a real thing. But you have to understand it not just expect some little efforts to manifest dramatic results.

Dramatic results come from dramatic actions, or small consistent actions taken over long periods of time.

Does the LOA really work? You decide, but choose wisely!
